Julia Piedimonte is young, vibrant and captivating. Growing up outside of Toronto, the youngest in a family of five kids, Julia attributes her early home life to her easy-going and self-deprecating attitude. Labelled the loudmouth of the family, she pursued public speaking at a young age as well as dancing, acting, and athletics.
Julia attended Ryerson University where she studied Radio and Television specializing in on-air presentation, writing and producing. She first cut her teeth landing an internship with CBC's George Stroumboulopoulos Tonight (called The Hour at that time) and was soon hired on, working in a variety of production roles from Talent Wrangling, Editorial Assistant and Researcher. During the summer hiatus periods Julia expanded her experience in the Newsroom for another acclaimed CBC program Connect with Mark Kelley as an Associate Producer. After several seasons working on the Gemini Award winning Late Night Talk Show, Julia made the shift from behind the camera and into the spotlight for over 200 episodes as the Host of Daytime on Rogers TV, a Live one hour weekday talk show.
In her spare time Julia enjoys an active lifestyle of hot yoga, running, walking, hiking and gardening. Also an avid photographer, she spends her free time creating scrapbooks showcasing her work. Julia's not so secret indulgences include Reality TV, Celebrity Gossip and a tub of Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream.
